Since I am nursing a nasty cold, we decided to take it slow today and just go for a drive in the desert. We drove up a switchback called the Pines to Palms Highway stopping at a lookout and walking into the desert. You can see Palm Desert in the background. Pretty much everything green is a resort or golf course.
